Automotive Skills is the Sector Skills Council for the UK motor industry, working in partnership with employers to boost competitiveness through skills development across all sub-sectors.

Reporting to the National Manager for England, you will work with employers to raise skill levels across the retail motor industry in East Midlands, West Midlands, and East Anglia - as well as developing high level partnerships with training providers and government agencies.

You must have extensive hands-on experience of the motor industry, preferably in a regional or field-based role, and should be able to clearly demonstrate the following essential qualities:

    Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and a goal-oriented approach.

    Enthusiasm and passion to encourage successful careers opportunities for a wide range of people in the motor industry.

    Knowledge of the key learning and skills issues for employers across the sector.

    Ability to establish credibility with key partners.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Highly motivated self-starter with the discipline to work from a home-based field role.
