Service Manager

Middle East: An immediate opening exists for a Service Manager within our VW franchised vehicle business.

The appointed candidate will be responsible for a multi-national service department with direct control over the workshop, service reception, workshop parts sales, warranty claims and the customer experience. You will also have a strong technical background and the ability to assist our technicians in diagnosis where required.

The Role

Reporting to the Brand Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Operational control of the service department

  • Set budgets for the department

  • Effective management of the vehicles workshop including parts sales

  • Ensure efficiency within all departments

  • Smooth running of the service reception

  • Monitor service advisor's performance

  • Oversee warranty claims and ensure dealt with in accordance with manufacturer standards

  • Promote health and safety in the workplace

  • Attend monthly reviews and deliver reports to the Brand Manager on key areas within the business

  • Raise KPIs and the customer experience

  • Liaise with the manufacturer in a professional manner

  • Manage customer complaints personally where required



  • Previous industry experience at a management level within a service operation.

  • An up to date knowledge of vehicle technology and diagnostic equipment.

  • Strong commercial and financial appreciation.

  • IT literate.

  • Effective relationship, communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to cope under pressure
