The successful Tony Purslow and Jacksons Mercedes-Benz businesses have been consolidated into one new Group business, operating in two separate Market Areas, covering Guildford, Basingstoke, Hindhead (Aftersales only), Poole, Salisbury and Dorchester.

For this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing the Fleet Sales team and infrastructure to deliver an increased mix of our sales through the central direct supply programme (DSP) recently established by Mercedes-Benz UK and to maximise the local Fleet Sales opportunity, ensuring high levels of penetration in AOI.  Ensuring a healthy mix of business across Fleet channels, including VIP sales will also be a necessity.

Key to this role will be the development of relationships with national key leasing companies, and end user companies across our AOI to ensure our selection as a partner for the supply of Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

•Manage the Fleet Sales team to deliver monthly and quarterly sales objectives.
•Identify, win and develop a selected number of key Fleet accounts.
•Develop and oversee a centralised Group Fleet Sales infrastructure to support sales ambitions, particularly in growing sales through professional Fleet channels.
•Control trading terms and costs to ensure Fleet Sales Department operates to meet an agreed profit objective.
•Manage stock mix and delivery of sold vehicles to avoid fully paid terms.
•Develop relationships with key Leasing Companies in the UK Fleet business.
•Develop a robust and extensive Fleet database for the business AOI in conjunction with the marketing team.
•Work with marketing team to drive effective marketing activity for Fleet Sales, focussing on delivering new enquiries into the business.
•Plan and manage sales programmes and incentives to support achievement of sales objectives, including agreement of trading terms with Marketing Director.
•Develop unique, innovative marketing packages to provide a unique sales proposition for Fleet Sales.
•Produce weekly and monthly management information, progress and activity reports.
•Be the main point of contact for all MBUK manufacturer representatives, gaining their support on all initiatives, ultimately to be viewed as the benchmark fleet sales department in the MB Retail Network.
