The Perodua Nippa continues to provide steady if unspectacular business for its dealer network which has expanded slightly over the year. There are plans to grow by a further 50% over the next two years, largely on dual franchised sites. Transaction prices in the budget motoring sector have moved down with the mainstream manufacturers offering extra marketing on entry-level cars, but Perodua dealers report a loyal customer base and good steady margins. The Nippa remains Britain's cheapest car, now at £4,999 on the road, but the product range needs to be expanded.
