Vauxhall has launched a VXR version of its new Monaro.

The new 180mph super coupe will be powered by a Corvette 402bhp 6-litre V8 and is due to go on sale from March.

Along with the new engine, the drivetrain has been upgraded with revised suspension and bigger brakes.

Styling changes have been kept to a minimum. To help the engine cool, a pair of vents have been added to the bonnet, while the rear now gains quad exhaust tail pipes. New 10-spoke, 19-inch alloy wheels are also included.

Prices have yet to be confirmed, but it’s expected that the new Monaro VXR will cost around £37,000.
