Citroën has signed 30 dealers to its fleet programme, as it looks to increase market share in the corporate sector from 3% to 5% over the next three years.

Sub-25 fleets are the main target. Ian Hughes, head of fleet and remarketing at Citroën, says the scheme will assist dealers to make links with local small- to medium-sized businesses.

“We’re helping them recruit new staff for the venture through a dedicated website,” Hughes says. “The dealers will receive further support from Ion, a telemarketing organization, who will prospect the dealer’s territory and support their activities.”

Citroën has appointed three members of staff at its Slough headquarters to support the programme.

Hughes wants more dealers to join, but isn’t looking for the entire network to sign up.
