Peugeot’s new 207 will be priced from £8,995 when it goes on sale on June 8.

The 207 will be available at launch as either a three or five door hatchback, but will be joined in the future by other body styles. A range of five trim levels will be available powered by one of six engine options, all fitted with a five speed manual gearbox. The trim levels are: Urban, S, Sport, SE and GT. Peugeot also said a ‘Stop and Start’ engine, currently being used on Citroen models would appear in the 207 in the future.

Two new engines, developed by PSA and BMW, will be included in the 207 line-up before the end of this year.

The 207 was awarded five stars for occupant protection, three stars for pedestrian protection and four stars for child safety by Euro NCAP.

The 207 also has two different body styles, the ‘classic’ look available on the Urban, S and SE models and the ‘sport’ look on the Sport and GT.
