BEN, the automotive charity, is urging dealers for support during its BEN Week birthday celebrations next month.

The fundraising drive will run from July 16-22, in an attempt to raise awareness of the charity throughout the UK. BEN supports anyone who has worked in the motor industry and their family in times of need.

BEN wants businesses to organise their own fun activities during its birthday week to help raise funds. Alternatively businesses can get involved in one of BEN’s preplanned events such as skydiving, karting, five–a-side football or its Red Square Rally.

BEN ended its financial year with a deficit of £500,000. This has meant it has had to close its palliative care unit at Alexandra House in Southport and make a number of redundancies across its care and administrative staff.
