How did you get in to the automotive business?
Within ExxonMobil I moved from buying lubricant additives to selling finished lubes.

What does your job entail?
Managing a team which sells into national accounts or OEMs.

How will your job change over the next few years?
I am sure the role will become more technical.

Other jobs?
My first job was in a chemical laboratory researching electroplating. I subsequently moved to ExxonMobil.

What advice would you give to young people joining the industry?
Work on communication skills and be positive. Always take on more work, don’t turn it down.

What’s the worst career move you’ve ever made?
None I truly regret.

Joining ExxonMobil.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Realistically, I will be retired.
