Vertu Motors held its AGM today at which the group reported profitability was in line with expectations.

In a statement, chairman Paul Williams told investors the company was pleased with progress of its expansion strategy, which has seen it add Ford, Mazda and Vauxhall dealerships in recent months, all of which are expected to be profitable in the year ending Feburary 2012.

Williams said the board continues to evaluate a significant number of further growth opportunities.

Full year performance is predicted to be in line with expectations, he added.
