Former World Rally Championship competitor Dave Paveley is the new dealer principal at the Honda showroom in Llandudno.
When the oportunity came for he and his three business partners to buy the former Pentraeth Honda dealership in Llandudno he was delighted.
“When I first visited Llandudno I fell in love with it. It’s a fantastic place, so beautiful and also a thriving town. We’re selling our home in Meriden and moving here lock, stock and barrel.
"We’re totally committed to making a go of this and I’m pleased we’ve been able to keep all the jobs at the dealership, they’re a fantastic team,” he told North Wales Weekly News.
Pentraeth Group still holds a Honda authorised repair franchise at its Menai Bridge site on nearby Anglesey, where it also represents Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Suzuki, Mazda and Mitsubishi.
Daughter Jade, a karting champion with ambitions of racing British Touring Cars, will also work in the business while continuing her motor racing career.
