A design consultant has been appointed to overhaul the image of a prominent British car brand.

Joanna Migdal, a sundial maker, has become a consultant to the Bristol Car Company and will re-design its showroom in Kensington High Street, London.

Migdal's father-in-law founded the luxury car manufacturer in 1945, which has since gone through several owners and receivership until being bought last year by advanced engineering company Frazer Nash Research.

Migdal told the Henley Standard: “This work may seem a long way from sundials but I feel completely at home with it. Besides, good design is the same whether applied to sundials, sculpture, cars or showrooms. I am very excited to be part of such an exciting project.”
