Jon Stenson of Sytner's Graypaul Maserati dealership in Birmingham has completed a 20-day bike ride challenge from Birmingham to Maserati's HQ in Italy in aid of a charity which helps young adults and their families affected by cancer.

The original fundraising target was £10,000, but the running total now is over £12,715.

He was joined by his dealer principal, Stuart Hood, for the final leg of the challenge into Modena where they were given a hero’s welcome as they were met by Giulio Pastore, general manager of Maserati Europe, and were shown around the production line where the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio are produced.

The charity was the Mat Davis Foundation, named after the young victim of a fatal brain, and which relieves the needs of young adults with cancer, and their relatives in the Warwickshire area, by providing support, counselling and financial assistance.
