PSA Group has launched the car sharing element of its Free2Move connected car initiative in the brand’s Paris heartland – providing access to a fleet of 550 electric Peugeot i0n and Citroën C-Zéro EVs.

Facilitated via a new Free2Move Paris app, users of the newly-launched mobility scheme can choose between a 32 cent-a-minute charge with a monthly subscription of €9.90 for regular use or a 39 cent-a-minute model with no subscription, which has been designed for occasional use.

Insurance for the compact alternatively-fuelled vehicles and free parking in Paris are included in the charge.

Brigitte Courtehoux, chief executive of PSA Group’s Free2Move scheme, said: “Within just two years of its launch, Free2Move already has more than 1.5 million users in 12 countries and a fleet of 65,000 vehicles.

“We are delighted to launch our car sharing service in Paris and we are also planning to expand our offering to the surrounding metropolitan area very soon.”

The PSA Group’s Free2Move initiative was created in September 2016 and utilise connected car technology to facilitate car sharing, fleet management and multi-brand leasing services.
