Car dealer Richard Sanders Group has plans for a motor park in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

It has applied for planning permission for a £300,000 purpose-built Peugeot showroom alongside existing Renault and Nissan dealerships at its Brunel Close site.

If a proposed £200,000 Honda showroom is added to the site next year, 150 cars from four manufacturers will be available in one place.

Managing director Richard Sanders, who runs the business with his wife and two sons, said: "It will be a unique mini-motor park when it is completed.

"The great thing about it is that you can view several brands of cars at one time, and get the same standard of service you expect from a family business."

If the planning application is accepted, Sanders expects work would start in November, take six to eight weeks and the premises be open for customers in March.

The development would increase staff at the site from 70 to 80.

Richard Sanders Group has been selling Peugeots from temporary premises on the Brunel Close site, and Hondas from its old site further down Northfield Avenue, since taking over the franchises for Kettering earlier this year.

Sanders told the Northants Evening Telegraph he expects group turnover to be £35m once the expansion is completed next June.
