Conders Garage has added Daihatsu to its dealership on Neward Road in Peterborough.

Daihatsu will join Conder’s Subaru and SsangYong franchises and has its own purpose built showroom.

Mark Johnson, dealer principal, said: “The current market conditions are driving consumers to more affordable vehicles. Daihatsu’s compact cars and low operating costs are a natural choice for us to help generate new converts to add to our customer base.”

Daihatsu has also appointed Dicksons of Inverness.

Alistair Scrimgeour, dealer principal, said: “Despite the difficult economic climate, we hope to not only generate repeat business from satisfied customers but also to win new converts.

“This has helped us build up a loyal band of customers who have tended to stay with us over the years – very useful in these challenging times.”

Daihatsu is aiming to have appointed 20 new dealers this year and currently boasts 105 UK showrooms.
