Honda UK has signed up with Chevin Fleet Solutions to use its fleet management software following a tendering process.
Honda will now be using Fleet Wave to help manage its fleet operations.
Craig Fulton, fleet planning manager at Honda (UK), said: “To make sure our vehicle operation remains cost effective, automating processes to gain further reductions in the number of days it takes to put a vehicle on fleet or dispose of a de-fleeted vehicle was essential.
“With a fleet of 4,500 vehicles, our existing in house fleet system relies on out dated technology and requires excessive manual input and reliance on spreadsheets for daily aspects of fleet management.
“This creates labour and time intensive processes which ultimately impact the bottom line. A lack of integration capability with other systems meant both a lack of overall visibility and unnecessary duplication of data.”
