New composite supplier for Mercedes-Benz

Mazepoint has this month taken over as dealer composite supplier for Mercedes-Benz UK.

The London-based company, which also provides composite services to Toyota and Lexus, won a tender process late last year for the supply of dealer composite and business management reporting tools.

In addition to providing business management reports, Mazepoint will add a range of analysis tools enabling dealerships to analyse network and business data, generate their own bespoke reports and guide effective management actions.

A key objective of the project has been to ensure a smooth transfer from the previous supplier.

Mazepoint, founded in 1998, successfully transitioned composite services for Toyota recently from its previous supplier.

The Smart range is being relaunched with a new Fortwo and Forfour this year, based on a shared platform with the new Renault Twingo. This should create renewed interest in Smart as well as attract customers who might have outgrown their Fortwo.

Note: Manufacturers administer the franchised contracts for cars and LCVs in different ways. Broadly, for some the contract to sell cars and LCVs is managed through a separate dealer contract. For others one contract covers both vehicle types.

AMi seeks to acknowledge the difference and reflect it in the count of each dealer groups total franchised outlets (franchised businesses) and sites (locations).

Mercedes-Benz treats car and LCV sales as coming under separate contracts –AMi counts each individually.
