Great Wall has appointed Londonderry-based Eakin Bros to its UK network of 48 dealerships.

It is the Chinese brand’s first dealership in Northern Ireland.

Founded in 1923, Eakin Bros trades from the same site in Claudy, Londonderry, which the current managing director’s grandfather opened nearly 90 years ago.

Expectations are high that the Steed pick-up will prove popular in Northern Ireland, amongst trade and recreational users alike.

Peter Eakin, managing director of Eakin Bros, said: “We’re incredibly excited to join Great Wall in the early stages of its history in the UK and to lead it into Northern Ireland.”

Great Wall will be adding its new H6 SUV to its model line-up next year. All Great Wall dealers sign up to the brand’s “Promise” which includes inflation-proof servicing plans and free service pick-up and drop-off.
