MG has revealed an SUV crossover concept at the Beijing Motor Show called the Icon which points to future models from the Chinese-owned brand.
The concept was designed in Longbridge and while there are no production plans in place a spokesman for MG said it was something the company could “definitely do”. A production version would look to take on rivals like the Nissan Juke.
MG has 47 dealers in the UK and a product range which includes the TF and MG6. The company’s dealer network is still evolving, with a target of 100 by the end of 2015 to supply a succession of new models.
The Chinese brand is expected to be bringing a supermini and an SUV to the UK market in the future.
