A franchised dealership in Sussex may face a fight for permission to expand.

Yeomans Peugeot in Worthing has put in a planning application to expand its premises by demolishing a neighbouring 1950s bungalow.

The proposal allows for 25 additional car display spaces as well as more parking spaces for staff and customers, and a one-way traffic scheme to try to improve safety for cars entering and exiting the site.

But Ferring Conservation Group, which successfully campaigned against an application by BMW dealership, Chandlers, to build a new showroom and garage on a greenfield site further along the same road earlier this year, objects to the plan.
