Peugeot has revealed the first official images and video footage for its new 108, the replacement for the 107 city car and the first of the three partner models between PSA and Toyota.
The 108 is the first model to be shown ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. There will also be a new Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1.
108 customers will get a choice of four engines, a 1.2-litre 82bhp and three 1.0-litre variants. Customers can also get a five-door version of the 108 for a £400 price hike over the three-door.
All 108s get six airbags, four seats, and a boot capacity of 196 litres.
Official interior pictures won’t be revealed until March 2014 at the Geneva show.
There will be a central touchscreen infotainment centre, measuring seven inches across. It’s an option on the basic ‘Active’ models, and standard on every other 108. It will be able to mirror your smartphone’s screen on the centre console, whether you’re an Android or iOS user.
Once the car is moving, it’ll only allow access to apps it deems safe. So, you can use the navigation, play music, and make calls.
Prices will be confirmed closer to launch and order books open on July 1, 2014.
