Skoda UK has appointed Davina West as the brand’s new fleet business development manager.

The role will see West working as part of the carmaker's existing corporate sales team to develop and deliver competitive Skoda offers.

Skoda said it will also signal a fresh focus on the implementation of new fleet customer satisfaction initiatives, to identify areas where value can be added to the business.

West has extensive automotive marketing experience, and will also be creating new fleet communication strategies.

Her appointment is an internal one. Most recently she has been Skoda's retailer marketing manager, designing and implementing the brand’s local marketing programme.

Her achievements include significantly improving the quality, consistency and effectiveness of retailer marketing.

She has also had various roles within Volkswagen Group UK, worked as a group marketing manager for a retail automotive company, and as general manager for customer relationship marketing at another vehicle manufacturer.

She begins her new role on March 31.
