Audi has refreshed its RS7 for 2014 with new LED headlights, new 20-inch wheel design, four new paint choices and redesigned LED tail lamps.

The facelifted RS7 features the same 552bhp 4.0-litre V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. However, the engines in the latest version of the RS7 feature the Volkswagen Group’s cylinder deactivation technology which turns the engine from an eight-pot into a four-cylinder engine. This keeps CO2 emissions down to 221g/km and an official mpg figure of 29.7mpg.

The latest RS7 has the same 3.9 second 0-62mph time as the outgoing model and the top speed is 155mph. Audi is offering optional power upgrade packs to push the top speed to 174mph or 190mph.

Interior changes include a new instrument cluster, new air vents and shift paddles, as well as an upgraded MMI entertainment system which has a new graphics package.

The RS7 will go on sale in autumn this year and prices are yet to be announced.
