More than 200 used vehicles went under the hammer earlier this month at a special Manheim Online sale for Nissan Vehicle Remarketing.

The closed event took place on Bristol's Glassboat restaurant and bar, providing more than 60 UK Nissan dealerships with the opportunity to participate in the innovative online auction.

All 209 vehicles offered at Bristol's unique floating harbour location were sold, achieving 99.1% of CAP.

Particular highlights on the day included a NV 200 making 114% of CAP and a Pathfinder making 113% of CAP.

In addition, Nissan's dealers were treated to a capped buyers fee, pre-approval for used car funding on all vehicles and free delivery to the UK mainland and Northern Ireland.

All of the vehicles offered on the day were hosted at various defleet locations across the UK, with dealers supplied with a catalogue and supporting images in advance of the proceedings.

Those in attendance on the Glassboat were able to view the cars on screen, while a wider Nissan audience participated through Manheim's award-winning Simulcast platform.

Dave Parry, general manager at Manheim Online, commented: "While online selling is becoming more popular, it is important to recognise that many dealers also appreciate the opportunity to network face-to-face with their colleagues at auctions.

Designed to complement the existing physical auction programme, the online events are part of Manheim's new direct trade sales programme and are based on the company's existing Simulcast technology.

The auctions feature a live auctioneer taking bids and enable the franchised dealer network to source vehicles easily and efficiently from a computer, mobile device or in person at a special off-site event.
