The UK's biggest franchised dealer, Pendragon, is taking on undergraduate recruits.

Its placement scheme has 14 students arriving from Nottingham Trent University, Lincoln University and Huddersfield University.

Pendragon's undergraduate programme is a 12 month scheme which gives students an opportunity to work in the motor retail industry and use the knowledge and skills gained at university in a work placement.

During the year the students will work on projects over two different placements across the business.

Some of the departments that are involved in the scheme include HR, learning  and development, marketing and used cars.

Chief executive Trevor Finn said: "Pendragon has offered an undergraduate scheme for 11 years and has found it of real value. The undergraduates bring with them not only an enthusiasm and motivation to achieve, but also new ways of thinking and fresh ideas, so both the students and Pendragon mutually benefit from the programme.”

Pendragon's car dealerships trade under the Stratstone and Evans Halshaw brands.
