Dales Cornwall has expanded its business in the South West by adding Truro (formerly Ward Vauxhall) and Falmouth Vauxhall (formerly part of Riders Garages Group) to its portfolio.

It acquired the two retailer sites this month and is proud to be adding the Vauxhall brand to its already-strong manufacturer offering.

Dales now has five franchises across four locations across Cornwall.

Staff from the two sites will be retained.

Dales Cornwall is headed by managing director Dominic Cadge, aftersales director Simon Peters and sales director Jeremy Rouse.

Tony Dale, whose parents started the company in 1956, is the chairman and also on the board are his wife Margaret and daughters Sara Cadge and Carolyn Peters.

Rouse said: "Customers at Dales Vauxhall in Truro and Falmouth can be guaranteed to reap the benefits of the company's family values and shall continue to receive the outstanding customer service they have come to know and expect from both dealerships."

The Truro and Falmouth Vauxhall sites add to Dales' existing dealerships in Scorrier and Summercourt.

Peters said: "We're always looking for new opportunities to enhance our customer offering, and the new addition of Truro and Falmouth Vauxhall to our portfolio serves to strengthen our operation in Cornwall and add an impressive manufacturer to our offering."

The sites formerly known as Truro and Falmouth Vauxhall currently employ 32 people.
