One of the most memorable and iconic images from the London 2012 games was the amazing 'games' makers', volunteers who were on hand to assist the visiting public make the most of what was widely heralded as a national triumph of organisation as well as sportsmanship.

At the next AM Executive Breakfast Club meeting the guest speaker is Linda Moir (pictured) who led the event services team and its 15,000 games makers that hosted 9.5 million spectators for LOCOG, the organisers of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, at 34 competition venues.

She will share the journey the games' makers went on from recruitment, training, communication style and how they became so engaged in delivering the required experience of the iconic games. Through a three year programme of engagement the London games' makers became one of the most iconic and memorable symbols of the games.

Moir has also worked in a number of high profile businesses that have developed extraordinary reputations for outstanding customer service.

As Virgin Atlantic’s director of in-flight services Linda was responsible for the airline’s award winning service. She combines a unique background in HR and customer service management to deliver exceptional performance through people.

During her five years at Virgin Atlantic she oversaw significant business growth whilst consistently driving the Virgin Atlantic service promise of ‘brilliant basics, magic touches’.

With the support of Sir Richard Branson she revised the recruitment, training, promotion and performance management of 5,000 cabin crew that led to the highest recorded customer satisfaction scores.
