Hyundai/Kia Motors says it is “extremely concerned” at the investigation into FIFA executives.

The Korean manufacturer is a FIFA partner and official automotive partner.

A company statement said: “As a company that places the highest priority on ethical standards and transparency, Kia Motors is extremely concerned about the legal proceedings being taken against certain FIFA executives and will continue to monitor this situation closely.”

Nine current and former FIFA executives have been arrested and charged in Zurich following arrests on behalf of U.S. authorities.

The charges relate to corruption around the awarding of the 2018 and 2022 Football World Cups.
