Pentagon Group is set to open a new Vauxhall dealership in Lincoln next month.

The manufacturer was previously represented in Lincoln by Charles Warner until it lost the franchise.

Since January, the nearest Vauxhall centres were in Grimsby, Worksop, Mansfield, Nottingham and Boston.

The new dealership will be fully redeveloped to the latest Vauxhall showroom standards over the coming months.

The new showroom, in Tritton Road, will be open for Vauxhall new and used car and van sales, Vauxhall servicing and repairs, warranty work and Vauxhall parts. Pentagon plans to stock around 40 to 50 used Vauxhall cars on the forecourt.

Trevor Reeve, Pentagon chairman, said: “Lincoln is a prime location for our business.

“"The Lincoln Vauxhall business will fit in well with our strategy to grow our company where we can see potential and I think there’s huge potential here in Lincoln. People in this city have been without a Vauxhall dealership for far too long and my aim is to get the business up and running as quickly as possible so we can start to deliver the excellent customer service we’re already known for in other parts of the UK”.

Pentagon operates eight other Vauxhall dealerships in Burton on Trent, Derby, Sheffield, Mansfield, Nottingham, Oldham, Manchester and Rochdale.

Pentagon hope to be able to announce another deal to acquire more car dealerships in the Lincoln area in July.

Pentagon Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pentagon Motor Holdings Ltd, which is in the top five of the largest independently-owned motor dealership groups.

It is number 26 in the new AM100.
