Lloyd Newcastle BMW has appointed BMWi consultant Suzie Guest-Martin to further boost the dealership’s expertise in the electric vehicle market.

Guest-Martin (pictured) will be based at Lloyd Newcastle’s Barrack Road, Newcastle dealership and will offer customers expert advice on the BMW i3 and i8 vehicles.

She joins Lloyd Newcastle BMW having founded a company providing electric vehicle charging points in 2013.

The company, Elm EV, which is now run by Dan Martin and Anthony Piggott, was the first in the North East to offer free electric vehicle charging points to domestic customers as part of a government scheme.

It has since switched to supplying commercial clients including the NHS.

“I have built up a lot of knowledge and experience by working with a number of manufacturers on communicating the benefits of electric vehicles to the public,” she said.

“As part of that work, I have driven all the electric vehicles currently on the market and understand exactly where the BMWi vehicles stand in the market as well as the current market landscape.”
