MP Motor Company boss Nigel Lynch has described its Weshoughton dealership's recent expansion as a ‘significant move’ for the family business.

MP has added another site adjacent to its current base in Manchester Road, increasing its capacity to hold around 300 cars for sale from a start-point of just 40 when it was established in 2004.

The Bolton branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland has provided funding for the move, which liberated space for an additional 100 cars.

The Bolton News reported that the company has already increased its workforce within the vehicle preparation department and has future plans to extend the sales team.

Nigel Lynch, general manager at MP Motor Company, said: “We are an established family business and our success has been built on customer satisfaction and providing real value for money.

"We pride ourselves on supplying quality late plate, low mileage vehicles, including all makes and models, manual, automatics, hatchbacks, saloons, MPVs and 4x4 vehicles, in diesel and petrol variant.

"This acquisition of additional land is a significant move for the business because it represents real growth as our quantities increase and we are very grateful for the bank’s support."

Gavin Elmes, senior relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “I am pleased we can support local companies like MP Motor Company Ltd who are seeking to make improvements to their business.

"They are a well established and respected motor retailer and I am delighted to support this latest stage of their growth.”
