A car dealer has listed a BMW as a 'rusty chav chariot' in an online advert.

Richard Harris, sales manager at Classic Cars of Wirral, was so shocked at the condition of the 1998 BMW 318 he decided honesty was the best policy in marketing the car.

“Everything is in poor condition” his Ebay ad admitted. And it had tyres that "come from countries that no longer exist", the Daily Mail reports.

The ad read: “I'm not sure I have the time or inclination to go through the full ins and outs. So if in doubt please presume all parts of the car are either broken, rusty, or covered in some kind of dubious residue. That way you won't be disappointed. Actually you probably will.”

It has still attracted more than 30 bids.
