Group 1 Automotive has welcomed the opening of a redeveloped Volkswagen Vans Centre to the portfolio of its Spire Automotive operation.
The six van showroom has been opened in Hatfield and will serve customers from across Hertfordshire.
In addition to the new vehicle display area, there is also an improved used vehicle stock selection.
Richard Blunden, National Network Development Manager for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “The new Van Centre in Hatfield will offer customers a fantastic new showroom and continue to deliver excellent customer service to the people of Hertfordshire.”
Blunden described Volkswagen’s expanded Van Centre network, which now has 72 full sites and 24 additional Authorised Repairers, as the “backbone” of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles operation.
He added: “We can offer UK customers a comprehensive service, from sales advice on what to purchase and how to purchase it, through in-life maintenance to disposal.”
Group 1 acquired of Spire Automotive 12 months ago.
Spire has 12 sales and service dealerships in the north and north west of London.
The group includes four Audi dealerships, three BMW/MINI dealerships with a BMW aftersales centre, two Seat dealerships, one Skoda dealership, one Volkswagen commercial vehicle dealership, and one Jaguar dealership.
