Volvo Car UK has named Paul Rigby Stourbridge its overall retailer of the year 2017.

Six other retailers were recognised as regional retailers of the year as part of Volvo’s network-wide annual awards. The winners were:

Cleland of the Borders (Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cumbria)
Ray Chapman Motors, Malton (North England and North Wales)
Marshall Grantham (North England, East Midlands and M1 Corridor)
Waterhouse Chelmsford (East Anglia and South Midlands)
Keith Price Garages Limited, Abergavenny (South West England, South Wales and Channel Islands)
Cambridge Garage Havant (South England)

The awards recognise retailers that excel on many fronts, including new and used car sales, parts and accessory sales, and customer satisfaction.

Winning retailer principal Paul Rigby acquired the business at Grange Lane, Lye, Stourbridge in May 2016 following his success at Volvo Birmingham.

In September the same year, the Stourbridge business underwent a large investment as part of the brand’s Volvo Retail Experience makeover, which completely redesigned the retail showroom and brought sales, service and parts under one roof.

Rigby said: “The biggest impact on the business has been the motivation from the team to deliver the very best customer service. Winning Volvo Retailer of the Year is a fantastic achievement and it’s all thanks to the team here at Stourbridge. I am extremely proud of what they have achieved; it is very well deserved.”

Jon Wakefield, managing director of Volvo Car UK, said: “2017 was another extremely successful year for Volvo in the UK, which could not have been achieved without the part played by our retailer network.

“It’s hugely rewarding for us to be able to acknowledge the stand-out performers at our network-wide awards. All the winners have demonstrated outstanding levels of service and commitment to their customers on behalf of Volvo, and I hope they take immense pride in their achievements.”
