Motorline has acquired the freehold car dealership site in Worcester, which was previously home to Nissan and Renault franchises operated by the Hylton Group.

The Canterbury-based AM100 group acquired the site, at Bromyard Road, Worcester, through its property company GGT Estates and now plans to relocate its existing Hyundai franchise there by June.

A statement issued by Motorline acknowledged that the locations had been occupied by the Hylton Group until February 2018.

It added: “The freehold purchase comprises of two dealerships on a plot of 2.26 acres with parking for 155 vehicles and is within walking distance from Motorline's existing Toyota dealership.

“Following a refurbishment of one of the two dealerships, Motorline will relocate their Hyundai dealership to the site at the end of June this year leaving the vacant facility for future growth opportunities in the town.

“Motorline have a total of nine Hyundai outlets and are the largest brand partner for Hyundai in the UK.”

The Motorline franchised retail sites in Worcester were acquired by the group in an acquisition of the £65 million turnover Westlands Group back in June 2016.

It acquired a total of seven dealerships in the deal and has since undertaken a planned rollout of investments and upgrades having seen significant improvements in the former Westlands business since acquiring them.

Motorline said: “The new location for Hyundai Worcester will offer the brand a prime location and the opportunity to expand further.”
