Waylands Automotive has opened the doors to its new £6m showroom and workshop facilities on Imperial Way, Reading.

The opening marks the latest development at the single-brand retail group which was founded by former Ridgeway chief executive John O’Hanlon in November 2017.

O'Hanlon initially established the new group with Volvo Cars Reading, before acquiring Fawcett’s Volvo Newbury and Waylands in May, Volvo Swindon in August and Johnsons Cars' Volvo Cars Oxford in October.

Commenting on the opening of the group's new facility, in Reading, O’Hanlon said: “I can’t wait for customers to visit Waylands Reading’s new showroom - the location is fantastic as the retailer is just off junction 11 of the M4.

“Here, we will be able to showcase the latest range of Volvo products and help new and existing customers with their car purchase and servicing needs, while giving all our visitors an enhanced customer experience.

“We look forward to welcoming prospective and current customers down for a cup of coffee and a chat about their car purchase and servicing needs. We want to thank our customers and our team for their patience and cannot wait to show them our new home.”
