Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions has renewed its remarketing deal with Manheim for the next three years.

The contract hire and leasing and fleet management business will channel over 7,500 vehicles per year through Manheim’s physical and online auction channels as part of the agreement.

Manheim has also agreed a new deal to supply its industry-leading Inspect and Collect solution to Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions from June, which will see professionally-trained team members deliver an inspection, condition appraisal and vehicle collection service for Hitachi Capital customers.

Vehicle inspectors are now able to carry out gradings at the roadside, meaning that its clients receive more detailed vehicle condition information much earlier in the remarketing process.

Manheim handles 99% of Hitachi Capital’s vehicle disposals, including cars, vans and HGVs.

Roger Holder, strategic remarketing manager at Hitachi Capital, said: “We continue to be impressed by Manheim’s performance and constant innovation, such as delivering the UK’s first ever offsite commercial vehicle auction at our operations HQ in Wiltshire.

“We are pleased to be strengthening our relationship with Manheim through the implementation of its Inspect and Collect solution and look forward to the continued success of this important partnership.”

Tim Hudson, managing director of Inventory Solutions at Cox Automotive UK, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been re-awarded with the prestigious remarketing contract for Hitachi Capital, and also to be broadening our relationship through the new provision of our unrivalled Inspect and Collect solution.

“Both of these wins are testament to our delivery of exceptional performance to our clients, as well as the highest level of customer service.”
