The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has launched a dedicated resource hub for automotive industry professionals to access during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The COVID-19 hub provides support, insight and resources to help automotive industry professionals, employers, learners and training centres overcome the challenges presented by the coronavirus outbreak.
Steve Nash, chief executive officer at the Institute of the Motor Industry, said: “There is a plethora of information being disseminated on anything and everything related to coronavirus, but for many people it’s hard to work out what’s relevant to them and how to take the right steps for their own circumstances.
“We’re distilling all the information and putting it into one place in our dedicated COVID-19 hub.”
The resource hub features stand-alone sections for members, centres, students and businesses and input from IMI experts, as well as links to other sites for useful information, the IMI said.
Topics cover employment and learning issues, as well as a focus on wellbeing.
The IMI’s partnership with the motor industry charity, Ben, is also reflected in the hub with access to a variety of resources.
Nash said: “The world continues to change in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the IMI is working hard to ensure our members – and anyone else in the sector - get the services and support they need, for however long they need them.
“It’s difficult to predict how the situation will develop, but we’ll remain flexible and adapt to any changes and our COVID-19 hub will be constantly updated with new information and resources as the situation evolves.”
The IMI continues to provide support and resources, as well as helping individuals within the sector during the current challenges.
