News and features editor Tom Sharpe will host the ‘General Managers Guide to…Making a success of MOTs’ online event from 2pm on June 22, with a panel discussion and interactive Q&A session featuring experts from the aftersales sector.

The online event – sponsored by Marketing Delivery – is the latest in a series of ‘General Managers Guide to…’ webinars which offer insight into a number of specific areas of the sector, all of which can be viewed on demand via the AM website.

A news insight featuring in AM last year highlighted the fresh trend an MOT-driven September aftersales surge that could help forge the foundations of a strong second half financial performance.

Following the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA’s) COVID-prompted MOT extensions in 2020 it was estimated that the new seasonal spike saw dealerships and garages faced with an estimated 580,000 more MOTs than in a normal September during 2021.
