SsangYong has appointed four new dealers and welcomed Justin Lamba as dealer recruitment manager as part of a new “free” dealership uptake approach.

SsangYong’s head of franchising David Rose said that the brand will remove up-front costs and offer free materials to boost uptake following the successful launch and expected growth from the Rexton SUV and Musso pick-up.

Rose said: “We want to make it easy for dealers to acquire and operate the franchise, and have removed the barriers to ensure representing our brand is highly appealing.

“Our new approach means no up-front costs, free signage, free special tools and free computer diagnostics.

“Not only that, SsangYong gives you industry leading margin retention on new vehicles, so all in all, highly compelling.”

A further four new dealers have joined the SsangYong network in key UK locations that include:

  • Broach Hill Garage - Driffield
  • Esplanade - Isle of Wight
  • Fun Motors - Lower Darwen
  • Unity - Tredington

Formerly the brand’s dealer commercial manager for South East England, and Lamba has previous sales, business development and customer support experience from a number of automotive brands including DaimlerChrysler, Daihatsu and Mondial Assistance.

Rose said; “After a year of consolidating the business, we are strengthening the management team to manage future growth which will come from increased vehicle sales, especially the new Musso pick-up, parts sales and an expanding dealer network.”
