A new 'complete antibacterial refresh' service has been launched by the PSA Group across its retailer networks to help drivers minimise the risk of spreading Coronavirus.

Participating Peugeot, Citroen, DS Automobiles and Vauxhall retailers are offering drivers a complete antibacterial clean and refresh to ensure their vehicles are as safe as possible amidst the Covid-19 crisis. This includes:

• A comprehensive clean of the air conditioning system to remove bugs and odours that may be the result of inactivity during the lockdown

• Complete replacement of pollen filters to ensure the air circulating in the vehicle is clean as well as dust and pollen free

• A 29-point vehicle health check of key components and parts, including brakes, tyres, drive belt and battery condition

• An internal and external full disinfection of the vehicle

Richard Dyson, parts and service director at PSA Group, said: “As travel restrictions begin to lift, PSA Group is giving customers the opportunity to have their vehicle comprehensively cleaned and checked, so drivers and passengers will be in the safest possible environment when using their vehicles.”

The group, which was named as AM’s Manufacturer of the Year at the AM Awards 2020 in February, says that it has introduced strict social distancing and hygiene measures to ensure the safety of its customers and employees.

The measures include contactless drop-off arrangements and a collection and delivery service from home or places of work.
