The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 is now available to order, with prices starting at £68,920.

It comes fitted with a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine which develops 476PS and 650Nm or torque.

A more powerful ‘S’ version is also available, costing £78,160, with 510PS and 700Nm.

Both models come with an AMG Speedshift nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel-drive.

The GLC 63 S can reach 62mph from standstill in 3.8 seconds. All models have an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

Buyers can choose between SUV or Coupe bodystyles, with the latter costing £71,410 or £78,160 for the S model.

Standard specification includes a high-performance braking system, sports suspension, mechanical rear axle differential lock, Comand Online infotainment system, AMG sports seats with Nappa leather upholstery, ambient lighting and 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels in titanium grey.

S variants add 20-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels, AMG performance seats, AMG Track Pace app and AMG electronic rear axle differential lock.

Additionally the GLC 63 S Edition 1 comes with selenite grey magno paint yellow decals , AMG performance exhaust, 21-inch alloys in black with yellow rims, Burmester surround sound system, AMG performance seats with diamond design and yellow contrast stitching, AMG Night package and Keyless-Go Comfort package. It costs from £90,924.

High-performance ceramic brakes are optionally available for £4,285 (standard on Edition 1). The AMG Driver’s package can be specified for £2,755 (£765 for S models). This raises the vehicle’s electronically limited top speed to 167mph for the GLC 63 or 174mph for the GLC 63 S.

The AMG Night package is available for £595 and adds black exterior details, and alloy wheels finished in high-gloss black. Customers can also opt for the AMG performance exhaust for £1,000 (standard on Edition 1).
