Inchcape non-executive director Vicky Bindra has resigned with immediate effect after taking a new executive role and relocation to San Francisco.

Bindra joined the board on July 1,  2011.

The dealer group has now appointed Nigel Stein as a non-executive director with immediate effect and will join the audit committee upon appointment.

Stein is currently chief executive of GKN, a FTSE100 global engineering group whose operations include GKN Driveline, a manufacturer of automotive driveline components.  He was a non-executive director at Wolseley 2003 to 2011 and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Ken Hanna, Inchcape non-executive chairman, said: "Nigel’s global automotive experience will be of great benefit to us and I welcome Nigel to the Board.

“I would also like to thank Vicky for his support to Inchcape over the last four years and I wish him all the best for his new role.”
