Volkswagen Financial Services’ fleet operation has made two key management appointments with the addition of Chris Allgood and Melanie Miles.

Allgood will become VFS’s strategic account manager with Miles taking up the post of brand relationship manager.

News of the key appointments comes after VFS’s announcement that David Maloney would take over as its CEO on May 1.

Iker Lazzari, VFS’s head of sales and marketing, said: “I am thrilled to further enhance the team with the appointments of Melanie and Chris who both hold a wealth of knowledge, experience and determination.

“Core to our offering is understanding our customer, both in using our data to talk to our customers in the right digital channels but also developing strong personal relationships with them.

“We are already recognised as an expert in fleet finance and as a reliable and knowledgeable vehicle supplier, however we want to demonstrate how we can add value to fleet procurement and management as well as prove our excellent customer service.”

Allgood’s new role will see him support the national corporate sales team, focussing on the management, retention, and development of large corporate fleets, typically of 500+ vehicles.

Miles, meanwhile, will work collaboratively with Volkswagen brands and other OEMs to help the market understand the value of the full mix of products and services offered by VWFS – Fleet

VFS fleet director, Ian Tilbrook, said: “This is an exciting time for VWFS - Fleet, we have already been re-appointed as an approved supplier on the Crown Commercial Services framework, and with these appointments we have the expertise to drive the business further forward.
