Audi Stoke’s head of business has become a Master of Science three years after signing up to complete his degree through the business.

Philo Jones completed his studies at Loughborough University with the help of the German brand and his employers at Swansway Garages, successfully completing an MSc in Strategic Automotive Dealership Management.

Phil, who’s run the Swansway owned, Stoke Audi centre since it opened in 2008, said: “This was a great opportunity to further my education and my career.

“There was a strong vocational aspect to the coursework, so, a lot of the information and research covered everyday business issues for Stoke Audi, all of which has helped further my understanding of the business”.

Back in 2012 the Audi UK network offered its managers the chance to complete a degree alongside their day jobs as part of the Audi LEAD Senior Manager Development Programme.

Earlier this year Marriott Motor Group’s Audi brand director became the first to complete a degree through the scheme when he became Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Loughborough University.

Commenting on his success Jones added: “For my dissertation on Modern Retailing I chose to focus on the future of the automotive industry, drawing on my experience with Swansway, Audi and research from around the world.

“Our industry has to evolve to survive, the internet has totally changed the research and buying habits of our customers.”
