RMS Automotive has appointed Sebastian Fuchs as senior sales and marketing director for Europe.

Fuchs, who began his career with Jaguar Land Rover in Germany, will play a vital role in the growth and development of the Cox Automotive brand's international business, a statement from the group said.

His 14 years of experience in the industry has seen him rise through the ranks of JLR to manage remarketing activities for the manufacturer, including its approved used car programme.

Later, Fuchs joined Hyundai Motor Europe to lead remarketing efforts for Hyundai Brand Fleet Sales across 28 markets in Europe, before becoming international remarketing manager for Europcar, where he was responsible for driving the company’s remarketing strategy and activities throughout Europe and Australia.

Most recently, Fuchs served as director of international used car sales for Volvo Car Corporation and was responsible for the company’s global used car efforts.

David Gaynoe, head of global sales and marketing for RMS Automotive, said: “Sebastian is a proven leader with in-depth knowledge of the international automotive and fleet remarketing business.

“RMS Automotive has enjoyed significant worldwide growth in recent years, and with Sebastian’s support abroad, we will continue to ensure that our clients benefit from the advantages of our market-leading platform as well as the new developments and innovations in our product pipeline.”

Fuchs said: “RMS Automotive is uniquely positioned to leverage its industry-leading solution to help OEMs and large fleet operators make smarter remarketing decisions.
