Paint and coatings specialist PPG Industries have appointed David Heal as market director for UK & Ireland.

Heal has more than 20 years’ experience in the coatings industry, starting as a research and development chemist.

Having held a number of technical, commercial and leadership roles within PPG’s Protective Coatings division, Heal moves into Refinish from the role of regional protective coatings director for Western Europe where he successfully drove and led strategic growth in the protective coatings business.

Jérôme Zamblera, general manager Refinish EMEA, said: “Heal’s previous success will serve him well for his future challenge of leading the Refinish business. I am excited for the fresh perspective that David will provide and I am sure that his leadership will ensure PPG continue to be successful in the future.”
