Hull Mitsubishi is celebrating after two of its staff marked 40 years of combined service at the Livingstone Road dealership.

Andrew Iveson, sales manager; and Andrew Roebuck, valeter, joined the solus Hull Mitsubishi operation just months after leaving school in 1997.

Iveson started as a trainee sales executive and has been managing the sales team for the last six years. He said: “There’s a great atmosphere at Hull Mitsubishi and it’s offered plenty of progression and the motivation to help me achieve my goals.

“It can be a challenge, but we have a fantastic team and we all pull together. We strive to deliver a first-class service and I still see customers from my early days, but the cars have certainly changed – I never imagined that I would be selling cars with hybrid technology.”

Roebuck initially started at Hull Mitsubishi as a part-time pitch cleaner. He is now responsible for the presentation of every vehicle the dealership sells.

“It certainly gets busy, especially around the new registrations in March and September, but even after all this time I still enjoy every day and there’s a really good working environment,” said Roebuck.

“The 20 years have flown by. It’s only when I’m valeting a used vehicle that I can remember preparing when new that I get an idea of how fast the time has gone.”

To mark the milestone, Hull Mitsubishi’s managing director Jim Clutterbrook presented the duo with commemorative, limited edition Mitsubishi watches.

Clutterbrook said: “The guys have made a huge contribution to the success of Hull Mitsubishi, helping us to consistently achieve the maximum five-star rating in Mitsubishi Motors’ customer satisfaction surveys, and it’s been a pleasure to have them on the team.

“Their loyalty, hard work and knowledge has not only benefited the business, but also thousands of local drivers over the years. I and the rest of their colleagues at Hull Mitsubishi are immensely grateful for their commitment.”
