Citroën has appointed Souad Wrixen as its UK marketing director at what was described as an “exceptionally important time” for the brand.

Wrixen joined the PSA Group in 1988 and has worked for the group within UK and Europe, already having completed 17 years of service for the Citroën brand in Slough and a further 9 years in a variety of PSA Group roles in Italy – culminating in her appointment as Director of New Vehicle Supply for Peugeot and Citroën.

A statement issued by Citroën said that, since returning to the UK in 2014, Souad had “achieved considerable success in a number of key roles, including her most recent position as head of commercial actions for Citroën UK”.

Wrixen takes up her new post on September 1.

Souad’s wealth of experience will be invaluable in the coming months and years.”

“I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues in Marketing, and across the business as a whole, as we continue to strengthen the brand – especially with the development of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme and the launch of the New C3 Aircross Compact SUV.”
